- For the batter
- 2 mugs of sifted chickpea flour (gram flour)
- 3 desrt spoons yoghurt
- 2 tsps ginger
- 1 heaped tsp garlic
- ½ tsp green chilli
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 heaped tsp jeera
- 1 tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp tumeric
- 1 tsp sesame seed optional
- vegetables for batter:
- Any 1 or mixture of vegetables can be used for this recipe, the following is my suggestion:
- 7 large mushrooms sliced
- 1 large onion sliced
- 1 large potato, chopped ½ cm cubed
- 4 desert spoons finely chopped white cabbage
- Sunflower oIl for frying
Instructions
- mix all batter ingredients in blender with water until mixture is twice as thick as normal cake mixture, if required, add more flour
- add all vegetables and mix well
- add mixture into deep fat fryer 1 heaped desert spoon at a time
- cook an each side for 1 minute or until golden brown
- place in deep dish with absorbent kitchen tissue to remove excess oil
- serve warm with mint sauce and green salad garnish
